[스위스 석사 유학] 제네바대학 컴퓨터과학(Computer Science) 지원

1. 목표 학과: Computer Science

• 기간: 4학기 (120 ECTS)
• 언어: 영어, 불어 (불어 성적 필요 없음 No French proficiency test required for non-Francophones.)
• 모집: 가을학기, 봄학기
• 요건: A Bachelor in Computer Science, in Mathematics, Computer Science and Digital Sciences or an equivalent degree, as determined by a review of the candidate's application. Prerequisites may be required.
• 장학금: EXCELLENCE MASTER FELLOWSHIPS (3/15 마감)
  The Faculty of Science, with the support of external partners, has established an Excellence Fellowship program open to outstanding and highly motivated students who wish to pursue a Master of Science degree in one of the disciplines covered by the Faculty. Candidate selection is based on excellence.

2. 신청 절차

(1) 온라인 신청

https://wwwo.unige.ch/dimweb/faces/login?langue=en 에서 온라인 지원서 작성한다.

회원가입 후 이메일과 비밀번호를 잘 메모해 둔다. 회원가입하면 인증 이메일 오고 이후에 작성 가능하다.

중간에 저장할 수 있으며 제출하면 enrollment form을 다운 받을 수 있다.

 

(2) 결제

 

베른대학과 다르게 바로 카드 결제가 되어서 너무 편했다 ㅠㅠ..

65프랑(약 9만 원)을 결제하면 끝!

나는 몰라서 한국통화로 했는데, 현지통화 거래가 유리하다고 한다. 그런데 신한카드는 그걸 결제하고 나니 문자로 알려준다^^....

그래봤자 수수료 2,200원을 더 낸 것 뿐이지만 사기당한 기분이다.ㅎㅎ

(3) 서류 준비

이제 서류들을 모아서 내면 된다. 제출해야 하는 서류는 다음과 같다.

 

• 등록서 2부 Two copies of the enrollment form, completed, dated, and signed.
• 여권 사진 2매 Two passport photos (full face and bareheaded) from a photo booth, with one glued to each of the signed and dated enrollment forms. Please follow the photographic requirements.
• 여권 사본 A copy of your identity document (back and front) or of the personal information page of your passport.
• A copy of your Swiss residence permit (front and back), where applicable.
• 이력서(유로패스 CV) A complete CV, including full details of your studies at secondary and university level. The Europass CV template is perfectly acceptable. Each year should be clearly accounted for, including years during which you undertook no studies.
• 고등학교 졸업장&성적증명서 A copy of the diploma of upper secondary studies in the original language, together with a copy of the final grade transcript, where available.
• 대학교 성적증명서 Copies of all university grade transcripts obtained to date (even if dropped or failed) in the original language. Please note: For countries that have not signed or ratified the Lisbon Convention, certified true copies are required.
• If the grade transcripts for the current academic year are not (yet) available: proof of registration or student status in the original language.
• 대학교 졸업장 사본 Copies of all university degrees obtained to date, in the original language. Please note: For countries that have not signed or ratified the Lisbon Convention, certified true copies are required.
• For students who have studied at Swiss higher education institutions (universities, EPF, HES, HEP), proof that you are no longer enrolled at that/those institution(s) (attestation d’exmatriculation). For applicants whose studies are still ongoing, this proof must be provided at the latest when your enrollment at UNIGE is confirmed. 
• (Faculty of Science는 면제) A copy of a French diploma confirming a level of at least B2, if you have one. This could exempt you for the UNIGE French test, (see Specific procedures/terms and conditions).
• 지원서 The Application form for the admission to a Master’s program, duly completed, along with all required documents listed on the first page of the form.
• 커버레터 a cover letter
• 커리큘럼 copy of curricula from previous studies
• 강의설명서 copy of course description from previous studies
• 주간일정 copy of weekly schedule and number of semesters
• 성적체계 copy of grading scales
• 번역본, 원본 필요함 An official translation of each document not in French, German, Italian, English or Spanish should be provided along with the documents in the original language.

처음에는 커버레터(혹은 motivation letter)나 강의설명서 등등이 없길래, '오우, 절차가 되게 간단하네?' 했는데 무슨.. 아니었다. 지원서(Application form)에 보니 그것들도 내라고 되어 있더라 껄껄

 

특히 여기서는 또 고등학교 영문 성적표를 요구하는데, 나는 2014년 이후 졸업생이라 학교에 가서 직접 떼와야 했다...

학교까지 가기 싫어서 우편민원이라는 서비스를 이용했다.

더불어, weekly schedule and number of semesters가 도대체 뭔지 모르겠더라. 그냥 쓰라면 쓰는 건데 세부설명에 official document라고 되어 있어서.

그래서 admission office에 두 번이나 문의 이메일을 넣었지만 답변이 오지 않았다.

결국 마감기한이 다가와서 그냥 내가 만들어서 냈다.

 

 

(4) 서류 발송

여기도 오프라인으로 서류를 받고 있다.
